With reference to Mr Bramston's letter of

the 13th instant,
am directed by the Lords Commissioners
of Her Majesty's Treasury to state to the Marquess of Ripon
that, in view of the representations of the Banking
community in Hong Kong, They approve of the omission of
Bank Post Bills from the Local Ordinance No: 2 of 1895 .
Their Lordships have no other observations to make on the
Ordinance, which I return herewith.
